- Open Terminal Window
- Update the Kernel
uname -r
If the Output Contains the keyword "PAE" then Look this Other Tutorial: Installing Kernel-Headers on Fedora PAE Kernelsu -c 'yum update kernel'
Reboot!
reboot
- Install the Prerequisite Packages
Installing gcc
su -c "yum install gcc make"
Installing Kernel Headers
su -c "yum install kernel-headers kernel-devel"
- Then Start the Process of Downloading and Mounting the VMWare Tools CD with:
- VMWare Fusion Virtual Machine > Install VMWare Tools
- VMWare Workstation VM >> Install VMWare Tools
- Click on "Open with Files" on Pop-Up
- Double-Click to Open VMWare Tools Archive:
- Extract VMWare Tools into /tmp Directory:
To Get Enabled the Shared Folders Apply Patch:
- VMWare Tools Installation:
cd /tmp/vmware*
su -c "./vmware-install.pl"
Follow to Accept All the Default Proposed Settings...In Case Prompted about What is the location of the Kernel-Headers? Look:
Kernel-Headers Path on FedoraBut if Instead you Get: Execution aborted
